Man, Black Cat really enjoys swinging over cities when you draw her. Are you using a 3d model for the background or are you drawing it straight into Manga Studio?
Nah man, no sketch up at all. Infact there is no way Sketchup could handle polycount here. Bcg is a mixture of, 3D studio Max, Illustrator and MangaStudio. Been working on backgrounds over the past few months and reckon I'm about 50 percent there.
Class Will! really lovely drawing. love when artists aren't afraid to use technology to improve their work. ah I remember back in the day when mooney and thompson would spit on me when I mentioned the word digital! how times have changed!

ReplyDeleteGod, I'd never use a SketchUp model as a finished background, just trace over it to keep everything stylistically the same.
