Do Robots Have Electric Thumbnails?

Snapshot of the work-in-progress for an upcoming cover. The finished piece is a beaut'.

Hey there, I'm about to start working on my Venom issues that are part of the MINIMUM CARNAGE crossover with SCARLET SPIDER, so did this practice sketch first.

White Queen

A recent Emma Frost commission. I had the pencils already sketched out from a few years ago, and was asked at a con to ink and tone it up.

Here's another sketch from the 2D Festival; a pretty crazy-looking Punisher. Wish I had a better scan of this, but I liked how nutty this ended up looking.

This is my piece for the Irish Animation Artshow taking place in the Trinity Science Gallery on Sunday the 29th of July. The auction is for a really worthwhile cause, The Children's Sunshine Home & LauraLynn house care for children with life limiting conditions. Please do try and get out to the Trinity Science gallery and bid on some amazing artwork from many of the top professionals in the country, including fellow Mick Tomm Moore. There'll be some major bargains on many one of a kind pieces of art.

The brief was simply to draw something inspired by your love for animation, so here's my version of what's possibly my favourite animated scene ever: the Iron Giant flying into space as his hero, Superman, in order to save the lives of everybody in the town his best friend lives in by sacrificing himself. It made me feel real-life emotions, so it did.

I feel quite privilaged to say I've seen a lot of Punk Rock Jesus as Sean Murphy's been working on it (I've even read some of the scripts). It's really cool to see another bold new series come from those fine folks at Vertigo and Sean is absolutely at the top of his game so I'm really looking forward to seeing the first issue come out tomorrow.

Above is Thomas and Chris from the book.

Punk Rock Jesus

The comic looks great, I love Sean's style. I couldn't tell from the previews if the chap with the crosses only has them on his back or on his chest too.

Punk Rock Jesus

This week sees the launch of chum-to-the-Micks Sean Murphy's creator-owned book, PUNK ROCK JESUS. I've seen the art for the first issue, and it's bloody amazing. This is the first single issue of a comic (usually a trade-waiter) that I'll be picking up in over a year, I'm looking forward to it so much. Sean's work with writer Scott Snyder on American Vampire: Survival of the Fittest made that the best book of last year for me, and this promises to be just as good. Can't wait.

Done for a fan at the recent 2D festival. Still have no idea who or what the hell a Modok is. Fun to draw, though.
