Scorpius

I'm guessing this bloke is the baddie? I watched Farscape a few times, it's great.

Part two of my love affair with Michael Landon and boring girls from Cork on SPAZZMOID my webcomic today

Rygel

In honour of Will's continuing employment here's Rygel. I've never seen an episode of Farscape, it's a series that completely flew under my radar. I don't even remember it being on TV. What I've seen of it while doing a bit of research looks fantastic though, especially all the Henson creature work.

HARVEY

Easily the craziest character in any show ever, and also one of the best. For me Scorpius is what made Farscape great, and then Harvey made it awesome. John Crichtons journey from straight laced astronaut to wormhole weapon wielding crazy lunatic with a neural clone in his head is brilliant (trust me, that sentance makes sense to Scapers.)
For me now the comic is really starting to gather steam. Im lucky to have a glimpse into whats coming up and by issue 12 if fans of the book arent completly blown away by whats about to happen then I will be surprised. There is one moment in particular that I've talked to KRAD about that he cannot wait to write and I cant wait to draw.

PILOT

I chose to draw Pilot for this theme week as, well, i thought he'd be the most fun to draw. I actually have seen some Farscape, years ago though, so my memory's a bit foggy when it comes to specifics. I saw soome movie of it a couple of years ago that was really, really good. I'm sure i'll sit down some day and belt through them. I did always like the design of the Pilot, and he was really fun to draw. Hope all you 'Scapers' like it.

Farscape Week - Chiana

Farscape Week!
While I have to confess I've never actually seen an episode of Farscape, that's something I hope to rectify really soon. I've got it from some very reliable sources that it's a brilliant show. I certainly love the fact that the Henson studio were involved so much in the character design and creation, which is possibly something even cooler than the legendary Pigs In Space!(if such a thing is possible).

Here's my take on Chiana, whom I picked cos she's hot and kicks the shit out've things.

Oh! And buy Will Sliney's monthly Farscape book from Boom!. It's Aces.

Whittle

In the week she turns 30, I am secreting an old Cintiq sketch of my missus, The Whittle, on yo' asses.

Happy Birthday, Angel-Fart! x

DropCop

Been busy all week, so had to dip into my sketchbook for this- dunno what it was for, but I have the impression it was an anti-gravity policeman.

True That

This is a sample page from a recent project that I turned down. Originally I thought it was going to be Sun Tzu meets The Wire but they wanted to take in a different direction. I would have to write and draw the whole thing and I felt keeping the Sun Tzu quotes in the context of gang warfare was the way to go and they didn't. Ah well.

Today after a few weeks of genuinely bad comics on Spazzmoid I have begun a really decent one. Today you worship Michael Landon

Brainiac

I've been re-reading Gary Frank's fantastic run on Action Comics recently and I thought I'd have a bash at his re-design of Brainiac. I love his lumbering, Frankenstein's monster look, more Brawniac than Brainiac really.

INFECTED!

Little stuck on time this week, plus no scanner, so this week i'm posting a photo of a sketch I did for someone at C2E2, the convention in Chicago i was at with Will last weekend.

Iron Man

Really looking forward to the new movie in May, the first one was a really pleasant surprise. Just such a cool costume design.

Panthro - HO!

Nice soothing Sunday evening ThunderCat for you.

Last Stand of The Wreckers #4 out this week! Unless you live in Europe, in which case we are at the mercy of the mighty Vulcan. Ah, the Curse of The Wreckers...

Not your usual Old Time Religion

Here's a sketch I knocked up for a great comic I've had in development for the past year or so. I'm currently learning Manga Studio for this one, so fully expect it to kick arse. It's a minor ancillary character, so don't expect too many Vatican face offs.

Nightcrawler

My first xmen comic was The Savage Land which I stole from Easons when I was 13, it was then nicked from my school bag and all I could do was say 'meh',

Spazzmoid was extremely rushed this week

Ostrichard

This is an amazing new character called Ostrichard invented by the original Invincible artist Cory Walker. Probably the best super-hero character design I've seen in years. He only exists as a couple of sketches and a single strip at the moment over on Cory's blog, but I really hope he eventually gets his own book.

PARRKKKEEEERRRRRR!!!!

Heyhey when in Rome right!!
Incase any of you out there didnt know, I am a total Spidey nut. I will die an extremely happy man if i get to draw this guy professionally one day.

Atom Eve and Invincible

I loved the early Invincible issues drawn by Cory Walker, the man is a genius. Not least at character design, these guys being two of my favourites.

Stuntie Goodness

If you know me, you know that I have a unhealthy attachment to character sheets and funny wee dice. Here's a doodle I did for my more recent D&D Character: Clanbrassil the Dwarf Ranger- just a bit of fun with watercolors and ink on a postcard.

Mr. Majestic

Another great Wildstorm character I loved back in the day. Was gonna colour this up this morning but figured I should spend hours trying to explain my internet frustrations to a guy in Mumbai instead.

Shaman

Since I'm usually Mister Colour, here's a B&W sketch from a webcomic that we've been working on (on and off) over the past few years. Expect to see more from this and another great comic I've been collaborating on in the next few months. Exciting times here!

Godzilla

I thought I'd continue the He-man theme too with this piece of shit picture of Godzilla that fell out of my wacom.

You're not a man anyway

Man-At-Arms

I thought I'd continue Nick and Will's He-Man theme this week with Man-At-Arms. Mainly 'cause I was finding it really hard to come up with a character to draw.
