28 Days Later: Selena

All this week us Mickards will be posting pieces dedicated to the launch of the first collected volume of 28 Days Later, as drawn by our own Dec Shalvey(I was gonna high-lariously miss-spell his name but that's really just so 2009). I was given Selena to draw and that suits me down to the ground as i love me some chicas.

Please make a point of picking up/ordering Dec's book this week, as it is just beautiful to look at, and a phenomenal read. Dec's storytelling on this badboy is dynamite, it moves like an express train.
TO HELL. Or from hell. Depends.

Dick Shelby? Who's he?

Nice work - bit of a Dave Johnson vibe goin' on.

Wow, I'll take that as a huge compliment Mark, ta.
Love the reverend's work.

I vote fire Dec off the book and hire Mooney! Ah just kidding. Great job, your becoming a marker machine these days.

Thanks for the kind words Mooney. Allow me to reciprocate.

Man, this is CLASS. I was expecting something with a lot more blackspotting, but i really like how open-line it all is, and all the colouring is great.

Fine work sir; definitely up there with my favourite Moon-pieces.

Cheers Dec. I didn't have time to fill the blacks, hence the open line.

Thats brilliant Stephen. Think thats one of the nicest pieces you've done for this blog.

Great work, ta for posting!

Really Fran? Huh, I'd actually thought it didn't turn out quite as well as I'd hoped.

I think my favorite part is that the jacket she's wearing's too big, so it looks like she's piecing together her zombie survival gear on the run.

Good work! I'm looking forward to this week, I love both 28 Days and Months Later and the couple issues of the comic I have, too.

Nice, I can see a few of your Hughes influences at play here and I'm not just talking about her chest.

But mostly her chest.

I think you should do the open line more often man, especially when your colouring it yourself.
