T-BOLTS process


For a change, I thought I'd post the layouts of a recent T-Bolts page alongside the finished artwork. This was a splash page from issue 167. If you look closely, you'll see that the composition of both pieces nearly matches exactly, aside from one figure I quite noticeably changed. That is because I light-box my layouts onto the art-board and pencil from them. That way, I try to retain as much spontaneity from the original layout as possible.
