Cassidy

So our Patrick's week celebrations continue with Mr Proinsias Cassidy, that wacky Irish vampire from Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's brilliant Preacher series. When we originally thought of this Irish themed week for the blog the idea was that we'd all draw Irish COMIC characters, and so far we've had two tv characters and a mythical hero. If I don't at least see Banshee among the final three pictures I'll be sorely disappointed.

Bloody great. Pun intended.

Hey, i explained in my post Fr. Jack was a COMIC character as he was COMIC-AL, so back off already.

Really like this one man. I like how you left out bits of detail on one side of his head. Works well. Splatter is always good too. Real nice use of it.

very nice bompso but I exspect you to go back to drawing metal faced goons after this brief paddy's day lapse!

What about Captain America, both his parents are Irish

Good illustration, but he looks far too fit to be Cassidy.

Excuse me, Angel IS an Irish comics character. I've been drawing him in comics for years.
This is a great piece, getting back to the more sketchy ideals of the blog while being very nicely executed.
Kudos.
Cassidy is Jac's favourite character incidentally.

I dunno Bunche, Fabry drew him pretty ripped in all the Preacher covers. He looked more 'normal' when Dillon drew him alright though.

'Jackie', since when have you been drawing comics? Oh, and you just want the blog sketchy so you don't have to go to any actual effort!

Here's a picture of a proper Irish character Stephen:

I only count Dillon's version since he's the guy who drew Cassidy month by month. Love Glenn's stuff, but he illustrates absolutely everybody as ripped.
