'Liam and me, we're gonna f*ck you up'

Fáilte!
Paddy's week is upon us and esteemed mickheads PJ + Declan came up with the idea that we should all contribute something a wee bit Oirish. So of course I felt the need to draw a piece with my longtime man-love Angel, or 'Liam' as he's known to folks back in the oul country.
Prepare for more cheesy shite from the other Micks throughout the week!
Mine's a Jemmy and Coke.

Aw, I was hoping you were gonna do him in his 18th century clobber back in Galway. I do like him popping out of the shamrocks though, very leprechaun-esque. Plus the Struzan approach is very nice.

Nice. That colour digital yeah?

Stephen Mooney said...

Colour's digital alright Bob, just a bit've green and white, ye gotta have it fer Paddy's. And Thomps, I did toy with the old-style clothes, but when I looked at some ref of him in his gear it reminded me of just how bloody ridiculous he looked. Couldn't do it, you know me.

I thought the long hair might have been a sticking point for you.

Stephen Mooney said...

Thanks Skytteflickan88!

Bob, I would be all over that. Right up my alley. We had a fantastic time playing rock band for hours over at Nick's the other night

I can see you guys are starting to try and top each others sketches.
They started as quick 5 min roughs now everyones doing full detail pics with colours.

Stephen Mooney said...

Tell me about it Rich. Bound to happen though, with 7 monster-sized ego's all under the one roof.
I still think Dec's Rocketeer is hands-down the best piece so far.

No harm in upping the game a little, and i still think Bob's Hulk is the best so far.

Will Sliney said...

Bob, if ye do kareoke then im coming up from Cork for it

Stephen Mooney said...

Now we're talking!
It's on like Donkey-kong baby!
All we need is a when and a where, and quite possibly a why.

How sad on a scale of 1-10 is it that I recognise that shirt as the one on your side show collectibles 'Not Fade Away'Angel? Nice picture honey! Is this a slightly looser style from you? I like it!

Stephen Mooney said...

Everything about me is loose baby!
It's looser in the 'I need to lash through this so's I can draw my proper work' kinda way, yeah
