Here's a sketch of nobody in particular (although we can pretend it's Foggy Nelson or something to keep the comic character vibe going). I was trying to inject some caricature into my drawings of faces, something I've always loved about artists like Parlov and Immonen. This was done with Painter on a Cintiq.

Well that's just excellent. Lovely colours, too.
Nice one, looks like it would be at home in a Sunday newspaper suppliment
Heh, yeah, for some feature about the loser contestants for The Apprentice.
Looks great man, lots of interesting things here; the cartoony face, the sketchy background and the colours too; lovely.
I think i'm the only Mick who hasn't done a colour piece yet.
very nice bompson. very "editorial" you should do a few more of these for a commercial illustration portfolio.
Lovely stuff.
I`m curious, did you do this in black and white and then colour it or whaaaaa?
Seems to be unanimous that it looks like an editorial illustration. Somewhere to aim for if the comic works dries up. Yeah it was drawn in black and white and then coloured, with some bits like the eyebrows and such colourised afterwards.
This is full of nice touches. The light yellow rim on the face and the reflection on the gurkin being two. It's got a newsweek article vibe about it.
Was it gonna say it looked like a piece for an editorial or something but everyones pipped me to the post! Looks great though, Mr. Thompson.
Mmm, gherkins.
Ah, Thombola, with this you increase the likelihood of me buying a Cintiq...Unusual piece but again, a lovely change to see you get your fingers smelly in the realm of caricaturisationism. Clever lad. I like.
