Chatterbat

Hello, and welcome to the 100th post on the Eclectic Micks' sketchblerg! It's a real honour to be the one to mark the occasion, and especially to snatch said accolade from the jaws of my peers, but here it is; the 100th entry on this little antisocial experiment of ours.

This week, I'm tossing in an old sketch of Batgirl; not the Joker-baiting ginge-on-wheels, but my personal favourite, Cassandra Cain. I loved this comic from about 7 years back, I guess, and would draw and re-draw this character with a fever not seen since my furtive gestures at the start of my love affair with Death's Head II. One of the big selling point of the character was that she was a brainwashed killminx who'd turned to the Bat-side, but couldn't speak. The silence subsided as the series went on, along with some of Cassandra's uniqueness, but as long as the frenetically bonkers Damien Scott was drawing her, I was along for the ride.

Also, Nickolytes, check out simonfurman.wordpress.com for info about my signing appearance at Orbital Comics in The London on June 27th. I've also got an exhibition running there from the 17th of June, but God knows if my own blog and I shall ever meet again, so consider you told. Ta!

Nice one Nick! I was reading No Mans Land when she was introduced and really liked the costume. Stopped reading comics for a while so never got to find out more anout her.

Class sketch, by the way.

Ta! The costume's a winner all right, huh? I think they evilled her up since, in favour of the Les-Bat chick, but I could be wrong.

Looking forward to hanging out here a bit more often now the Con Madness of the last fortnight has subsided. I feel I've neglected my Mickish duties...

That's really for your lady friend to decide.
