I've managed to climb out from under the avalanche of deadlines long enough to do a proper piece this week. The brilliance of Futurama really took the sting out of the Simpson's quality freefall ten years ago. Of course Futurama was cancelled and the Simpsons is still dragging it's corpse across tv, but that's how it goes.

Comedy Central revived the show over here- probably more subversive since it moved to basic cable, which is a gas.
