Im gonna get it here but I rewatched Akira last week and despite enjoying it before, I didnt like it this time. I think I gotta go and read the Manga. Its those feckin kids, I cant stand their voices and the music that plays whenever they are on screen.

Which version/language of Akira did you watch? I had trouble with the Johnny Bosch Kaneda in the re-worked dub.
It occurred to me on my commute this morning to watch End of Evangelion again this evening, but I don't think I can pass up Kubrick.
I vote Kubrick too, although no cheating by just drawing the monolith.
