I spent like an hour on the shading of the upper lip.

A few weeks ago, friend-of-the-Micks Si Spurrier launched a new X-Men series. Si's a mate, so as a present congratulating him on a Marvel ongoing series, I drew this on a sketch-cover for this issue and gave it to him. He seemed to like it!

Another Winter Soldier sketch. Really like drawing this guy. Someone asked for this commission at Thought Bubble last weekend (which was fantastic, by the way) but didn't come back to pick it up. Ah well, I'm sure someone will buy it at some stage.

Man, I loved MacGyver back in the day. One thing I especially liked was how he would never use guns (I'm remembering that correctly, right?)

Anyway, I just saw Skyfall and thought it was excellent, so mixed up Mac and the Skyfall promo poster.

MacGyver Week 2

Just heard the great news from Will that Issue 1 of his MacGyver book has sold out, and is getting a second printing. We figured a second MacGyver week was in order to celebrate!

My secret shame is that I've never actually seen an episode of the show, so have no idea what it's about, save for an inventy dude with a mullet. One thing I did garner from the snippets I saw as a kid was that he was rather fond the these sorts of constructive items.

Just wanted to give people a heads-up about the two panels at the D.I.C.E. show about upcoming Mick-related books!

Will's Celtic Warrior: The Legend of Cú Chulainn panel is on at 11:30 on the sunday, and the Half Past Danger panel with myself (Mooney) and Jordie Bellaire is on at 1:30, also on the sunday. Please drop by to listen and have a chat regarding the projects if ye feel the urge.
