An Owl wan
I have nothing new from this week to show here so I thought I'd post something from a few months back.
At the start of the year BrenB of the Small Print asked a few people to contribute to a very cool Alphabet project, and I believe it is still in the works to be printed up soon so watch out for that.
Here's my one anyway.... Can you guess my letter?

Style suggestion
Here's a rejected style suggestion for an illustration gig
I'm working on at the moment. We all agreed it was
a bit too cutesy . I enjoyed referencing the Romani decorations.
I'll try and find a way to use them
in the final less cartoony version.

Concept art
spent the first half of today doing the boring type of painting
(Walls with a roller)
but made up for it by painting the fun way this evening.

Miyazaki tribute
bit strange making miyazaki San the forest god but
I thought it was a funny image at least :)
this is a bit bigger than a3 watercolour and pencil - my
attempt at mimicing the masters watercolour storyboard style.
Art for Japan
As well as the Miyazaki tribute and this Kiki piece I'm including these two earlier pieces in case someone is interested in them .

Hello Micks!
I decided to pay tribute to some of our influences on The Secret of Kells , I hope I have time to do something to acknowledge the Hungarian folktales,The Thief and the Cobbler and Samarai Jack as well.....
