MAGNETO

Here's another photo of a sketch from the 2D Festival a few weeks ago (wish I had a proper scan, sorry). Apparently it was for one of the good folks at London's Orbital Comics, where I popped into this week for a little podcast interview. Thanks guys!

TRANSFORMERS MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE #6 OUT THIS WEEK!

FORT MAX IS FALLING FOR THE HYPE!

The issue that dragged me back to TFs hits this week, People of Earth. And when you read it, you'll understand why there was no way I'd let ANYONE else touch it. Roberts, Roche, and Burcham reunite with each other...as well as with some other old friends.

Pick it the flip up, 'Lickers! (Sorry for the late post. Life got in the way. The song 'Life' by Des'ree, I mean. It's egregiousness finally took its toll.)

Here's a DOCTOR DOOM sketch I did at 2D a few weeks ago. Really happy with how it come up.

Thanks to Dave for sending me a scan of the sketch, and make sure you all head to ICN all this week for everything Irish in comics!

Answers On A Postcard...

This is my piece/prize for the competitions running all week over at Irish Comic News. It's a (probable) variant cover to one of the issues of my upcoming series, HALF PAST DANGER.
Head over to the ICN site to see the terribly easy question you need to answer in order to be in the running to win it.
I love the idea of a dedicated week-long celebration of Irish comics talent and endeavours, and all of us here are delighted to support it. A very worthwhile effort by the good folks who run the site, spotlighting various Irish comics, creators and themes. Already some really interesting articles posted over there today, including one by our own site mascot/comic relief, PJ Holden. Go see!

WIN THIS

As part of the Irish Comic News website's first birthday, you (not all of you, but one of you. Or probably someone you know. Small world, innit?) will be able to win THIS sketch of Leader-1 Off Of The Gobots (I think) and many more one-off prizes simply by checking out the site all next week. If you don't go to www.irishcomicnews.com daily (and you should) then start habit-forming that sucker next week and give yourself the chance in life that you so sorely need.

Dark Avengers

I figure since our Dark Avengers week started officially last Tuesday, I can still sneak this in today and have it count. I had to go to a wedding last monday so couldn't draw anything up, but had a chance yeasterday to make amends. So here's the Dark Avenger's blonde Scarlet Witch counterpart, Toxic Doxie.
Or, as I saw it, an excuse to draw corset-clad boobs.

Buy Dark Avengers! It's good for what ails ya!

DEC-APPEASING UPDATE: I threw a couple of tints over the marker tones in photoshop to make the colours a tad more representational.

Dark Avengers

I was sick earlier in the week so I didn't get a chance to do a piece for Dec's revamped Dark Avengers book (out now kids!), so I thought I'd throw mine up today. Obviously based on the poster for the Avengers movie that everybody seems to be gaga about. Pencil with PS colours.

DEC AVENGERS

Out now as part of Marvel's New 52 (that's right, isn't it, Dec?). Snap it up, kids!

DARK AVENGERS: SKAAR

Hey there, Dark Avengers week kicks off with SKAAR: Son Of Hulk. He was a lot of fun to draw in the book. Hulk + Conan = Good Times. Hope you all pick up the book; it's out this week. Here's a preview!

2D

Had a blast with Dec and all the lads/lassies at 2d over the weekend. What a great bloody show; year in, year out.
The sketch of Superman on the right (of Darren's living room wall, cheers for the photo, sir!) was a tough one. Chris Ryall, IDW head-honcho/powermonger/crimestopper was taking the piss out've me the whole way through it, commenting (accurately) on how it turned out like a really convincing sketch of a vampiric Mr. Sinister. Sonuvabitch. The Iron Man sketch was also mine from a previous year.
There are 2 GREAT Shalvey sketches either side of these that I cropped out, as I figured he may want to post them up himself.

PS- Just saw that this is 'Dark Avengers' week on the blog, but I have to go to a wedding today so don't have time to prepare anything. I'll do my utmost to get one done by the end of the week. Needless to say, Dec's drawing the book, so it'll look bloody wonderful, and Jeff Parker will knock the story out of the the park as always, I'm sure. Buy Dark Avengers! Stay in school!

Death's Head, baby. Death's Head.

Some Death's Head action from the MCM Expo last weekend. Thanks to everyone who came out to say hi and check out the Turtles Panel.

Wish I could make the ol' 2D this weekend. GUTTED it didn't work out. Next time, Derry. Next time.

2d Festival

Myself, Dec and PJ will be appearing at this weekend's 2d festival in Derry, Northern Ireland. We'll be there all weekend. The show is always one of my favourites, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere, and loads of excited kids mad to get into comics. The evening panel sessions are some of the best around also, where fans and creators mingle freely and tackle some great topics.
THe 2d site is here, if anybody is about be sure and drop by, it's all completely free of charge.
