The Reaping Race
Another week spent on stuff I can't post so I trawl the archives once more...
This is a proposal we did back in 2003 I believe for a short film based on a short story.
The files got corrupted and all we have are the print outs of the images we sent to the film board.
Until now the only people who ever saw this stuff were the people who turned it down for funding back then. Maybe they were right but I still like some of these designs and think it might have been a nice short.
The painted Background is by Ross Stewart - I did the characters and photoshop colouring.

LOOSE ENDS
This is a piece I did for the Comic Twart blog, so I apologise for 'double-dipping' but deadlines are looming!
You can see the final piece here, it's actually changed a lot. I gave Jordie liberty to change around the piece as she saw fit. She took out the grid lines to make it look like an old movie poster. I was actually going for something similar but I thought her take worked better.
Oh yeah, and pick up Loose Ends #1! It's bloody great.

Black Panther
Sketched this up over the weekend, I really like the current look of the character where he's kind of decked out in parts of SWAT gear over his regular costume.

An Owl wan
I have nothing new from this week to show here so I thought I'd post something from a few months back.
At the start of the year BrenB of the Small Print asked a few people to contribute to a very cool Alphabet project, and I believe it is still in the works to be printed up soon so watch out for that.
Here's my one anyway.... Can you guess my letter?

Not Again
So, at SDCC yesterday, they previewed this tiny nugget of Transformers artwork. It's from the upcoming Transformers #125, a big event issue that draws a line under the previous direction of the book while kerb-stomping the series in a really exciting new direction. In other news at the Con, I was officially announced as the launch artist for one of the new TF ongoing books 'More Than Meets The Eye' which will be written by Guernsey's Greatest Living Transformers Author, James 'James' Roberts and coloured by Josh 'James' Burcham.
So, enjoy this ominous and portentious little banner, won't you?
Cover tease
Here's a (partial) look at the cover for my upcoming IDW one-shot, this time with colours by the wonderful Lisa Jackson.

Some rough doodles of the main character from a project of my own that I've been tinkering with a bit here and there.

CAPTAIN AMERICA (BUCKY)
Really felt like drawing the 'Bucky' Captain America. I really like the costume, as long as the torso part isn't drawn all shiney.
Great colours by Jordie too.

Katana Girl
For some reason when left to my own devices, I frequently end up drawing women with swords, usually katanas. I just like the way they look I guess. Katanas. And women.

HOW
So, I think I can mention this thing now. Finished up work writing and drawing a 'How To Draw Transformers: Prime' book a coupla months back for the kids. As far as I know it's only available in the States through Scholastic and then only through schools, but it was a fun little gig. Tricky breaking down the complex CG character models into something tween-friendly to draw, but I like the look of the show a lot, so here be Megs and Prime, for your delectation.
