Dec you know when you put the tones on your pages, do you leave it as a layer for the colourist? I saw in the Mr. Skull and Crossbones comic some nifty colouring on your manky brush streaks and tones.
Thanks guys! Maybe I was channeling my inner Gummi Bear fandom.
Bob; Jordie has a halftone brush on photoshop, but sometimes she'll colourize the halftone layer. That's what Matt did on Crossbones; I left all my halftone on a seperate layer and he colourized it. He also had a halftone brush and used that in places, so it's not clear what halftone is mine or his, which I really like.
Eclectic Micks are a collection of Irish professional comic book artists. They include Stephen Mooney (Angel, Half Past Danger), Stephen Thompson (Star Trek; New Frontier, Presidential Material: John McCain), Len O'Grady (Smoke, Ares) Nick Roche (Transformers, Doctor Who), Will Sliney (Star Wars, Farscape), Bob Byrne (Mr. Amperduke, 2000AD), Declan Shalvey (Thunderbolts, 28 Days Later) and Tomm Moore (The Secret of Kells)
Every day there will be a sketch posted here, each artist posting on a certain day. Enjoy

Lovely, dynamic drawing. Great slightly forced perspective on the trees. This one's a winner.
This is fantastic! Really, really love the design. When the page first opened the first thing I thought was Disney's Gummi Bears, ha.
Love the composition on this one. It does have a Gummi Bears vibe about it.
very cool
Well done! Love that battle axe :-)
