I remember reviewing Dec's portfolio when we were looking for somebody to take over on Freakshow after myself and Thompson had left. Do I wish now that I'd never recommended him for the book? Of course I do. In five or so years he's gone from delivering coal to drawing books for both Marvel and DC simultaneously.
It's hard to begrudge the fella all his success, given that he works really hard and he's an all-round good egg. But I manage it.

That's fantastic, you've really captured Dec's sinister nature. Is that coloured directly over the pencils?
Ha, yeah Dec, supposed to be you under there, hard to make the likeness work with the helmet etc.
And yep Thomps, coloured this straight from pencils, wanted to try it out on something to see if i'd use the technique a bit on HPD. I quite like it, but reckon I'm better off with the inks.
Yeah it's a nice effect for an illustration but the pencils have to be very, very clean to work as sequentials.
