Couple of test pieces I did for IDW last year for their Gi-Joe line. Hopefully I'll get to play in that sandbox a little this year, as I've been a big fan of the Joes ever since I were a nipper.
Snake-eyes v Storm Shadow all the way.
heh, yeah. Reminds me of Fran's gaf back in the day with all his Action Force toys on his bedroom floor. Although this pic reminds me mostly of having the shingles.
Yeah, that chain in the second pic is a great addition. And nice strong use of the toneage too. Hope Mr Joe (that's the guy who owns G.I. Joe, right?) lets you have a go at some comic drawing later in the year.
Eclectic Micks are a collection of Irish professional comic book artists. They include Stephen Mooney (Angel, Half Past Danger), Stephen Thompson (Star Trek; New Frontier, Presidential Material: John McCain), Len O'Grady (Smoke, Ares) Nick Roche (Transformers, Doctor Who), Will Sliney (Star Wars, Farscape), Bob Byrne (Mr. Amperduke, 2000AD), Declan Shalvey (Thunderbolts, 28 Days Later) and Tomm Moore (The Secret of Kells)
Every day there will be a sketch posted here, each artist posting on a certain day. Enjoy

nice man, I really like how you used the half tone
Sweet. The little vehicles around Snake Eyes' in the montage makes it look like he's playing with the actual toys.

Ah shingles...
great stuff man, two really, really nice pieces. I really like how the anchor chain breaks up the page in the second one
