Pyro

These things are torture to draw, my hat's off to Nick and all the other artists who work on Transformers on a regular basis. I couldn't get that blocky body into an interesting pose so I gave up and opted for a mildly dynamic angle instead. If you're a resident of Ireland or Britain today's the day that Nick's first issue of 'Last Stand of the Wreckers' is on the shelves. Go and buy, it is your solemn duty.

That is hands down, the best GIGANTOR i've ever seen... it's even got that signature lens flare.

Nice work man. There's some rendering there that nearly looks like the intricate biro stuff one would do in school. I know what you mean about coming up with an interesting pose; they're very cumbersome so it's hard to come up with an eye-catching composition.

Jesus on a Bicycle!! Friggin Fantastic, I'm sure Orson Roche must be quite happy with this :)

Yeah I'm with Will, this is what I expected, sheer genius. Bastard. What tool you using for that nice mottled spray effect? Brush or tone?

Stephen Thompson said...

It's just a couple of different airbrushes. The only tone in the picture is the sky.

If my earlier comment sold this short, it wasn't the intention. I just had a problem processing how I felt about it. This is really stunning. I need to chat with you about Cintiq technique...
